Privacy Policy

Effective 14 June 2026

This policy explains what the mobile game Pulse("the app", "we") collects and how it is used. The app is designed to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

The app works fully offline. Data is only sent off your device if you choose to submit a score to the global leaderboard. In that case we collect:

  • An anonymous device identifier — a random ID generated on your device the first time the app runs. It is not your phone number, email, Google account, or advertising ID, and it is not used to track you across other apps.
  • Your chosen 3-letter initials — the arcade tag you type for the leaderboard.
  • Your game scores — your best score and best combo.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or any other personal information. The app requests no sensitive device permissions (only the standard audio-settings permission used to play sound).

How we use it

The data above is used for one purpose only: to operate the global leaderboard — storing your best score and showing where you rank among other players. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

How it is stored and shared

  • Score submissions are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
  • Data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Heroku for the service, Neon for the database), who process it on our behalf.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.

Data retention and deletion

Leaderboard records are kept until you ask us to remove them. Because your identity is anonymous, simply email us and tell us your initials and (if known) approximate score, and we will delete the corresponding entry. Uninstalling the app stops any further collection.

Children

Pulse is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change accordingly.
